The Guitar is Portable
You can take it with you anywhere. Grab a small, cheap guitar and throw it in the back of your car for a road trip. Take it to the beach or a camp ground. Have an impromptu sign-a-long or show off to your friends on your front porch.
You Can Play Any Song on the Guitar with Four Chords
As Axis of Awesome proved, if you know a couple chords, you can pretty much play any pop or rock song you can think of. Learn just a few things and you can rock out all night long on the guitar.

Your First Guitar Lesson at Musicologie Noblesville
The first step is to attend your first guitar lesson. You can sign up online, or contact us at 317-210-1162. You can attend your lesson online over video, or in person at the Noblesville studio at 17021 Clover Road Unit 108, Noblesville, Indiana 46060. We call the first lesson an assessment. But don't worry - it's not a test! It's a chance for us to get to know you, what your goals are and how best to help you achieve what you want. Plus it's a chance for you to get to know us!
Our Studio
At the studio you'll meet our Community Manager and your teacher who will guide you through process. You'll receive a welcome folder with prices and policies, a practice guide and a practice log. You'll spend about 30 minutes getting set up, learning about Musicologie, talking to you teacher about your goals and playing your guitar. Your teacher will recommend a curriculum for you, and then, you'll sign up for ongoing voice lessons. You can choose from 30, 45 or 60 minute private lessons. You can also join a band through our RockStars® program. Then, start practicing!

Our family loves coming here! Our son has been coming since he had just turned 3 and has really enjoyed seeing Jo every week. He says Mondays are Jo days and considers Jo his favorite singer🥹. We love how Jo meets kids where they are and pushes them in a kind and encouraging way. In the past year, we have seen kids with varying personality types join our classes and Jo’s patience and ability to make each kid shine is impressive. The age range of our class (Juniors) means it is a bit of organized chaos and a lot of fun.

I can’t say enough great things about Musicologie Noblesville! I absolutely love my violin lessons, and my teacher Rebecca is incredible. She’s patient, encouraging, and truly passionate about teaching. She meets me where I am, makes each lesson enjoyable, and somehow keeps things both challenging and fun at the same time. The environment at Musicologie is welcoming and inspiring, and you can tell they genuinely care about their students and their progress. My 13-month-old son just started the Musicologie Junior classes with Miss Rachel and we are LOVING it! All the activities are easily adaptable for different skill levels. The whole class is engaging, and beginner music concepts and ideas are taught in such a fun way.

Devon has been an incredible drum instructor for my son Caleb! From day one, he has been patient, encouraging, and truly passionate about teaching music. Caleb has grown so much in both skill and confidence, and it’s amazing to see how excited he gets for his lessons each week. Devon has a great way of connecting with children and making learning fun while still challenging them to improve. I also appreciate his professionalism, consistency, and positive energy. We had such an incredible experience at my daughter‘s first piano lesson. We were warmly greeted by the owner upon arrival and walked through how everything works. Her teacher, Miss Naomi, was so patient and very informative. I was nervous about taking a five year-old (typical age related attention span & listening skills concerns), but they were so patient and well-versed in how to meet her where she was at. They took a very personalized approach to observing her and what would work to pique her interest. We are excited to get signed up for lessons!

Some teachers leave an impression. Others change lives. Our music teacher, Nicholas Rice, has done that for our family. He has given our children far more than piano and voice instruction. He has helped them believe in themselves, find confidence on stage, and develop a true love for music and performing. Most importantly, he makes them feel seen, valued, and loved. Our children genuinely look forward to every lesson because of the warmth, encouragement, joy, and passion he brings into teaching. Watching their growth under his guidance has been incredible. My 13 year old son says he really likes both of his instructors. According to him, "it's so casual with Josh (a big compliment from a teen ha) and at Rock Stars with Cade, I get to play other styles of music I wouldn't ordinarily think to choose as well as other instruments". This is so huge for us because it's literally the first activity in his life that we've started him in that he looks forward to as opposed to complaining about going! Musicologie Lakeway is an incredible place! We were lucky enough to meet Nick at their open house and he ended up being the perfect match for my son who had been playing piano for a bit. Besides being an extremely talented musician, Nick is a gifted teacher. My son loves music theory and Nick has imparted so much knowledge on him in just a few short months. This music school is very well run -- manager Christian is super responsive and flexible with scheduling needs. Brand new facilities and instruments are the cherry on top.

I’m so thankful for having an excellent piano and voice teacher Mr Wes, who is also guiding me on the different ways I could play my original songs and how I feel that I’m advancing on my advance piano lessons, I watched the show they had at the mall about 2 months ago and it really motivated me to keep learning all the way. I also like the fact that they also teach children, because I’m planning to bring my grandkids so they can learn piano and take voice lessons too. What is the Musicologie Method™?
The Musicologie Method™ is rooted in two things: a safe environment, and education through play. Research tells us these two elements are key components of the way everyone learns, from kids through adults.
In music lessons, a safe environment means a place where you feel free to be who you are, encouraged to play the music you enjoy, and excited to try new things. Education through play means having fun playing your instrument! That's why it's called playing music! We use games and strategies to help our music students make serious progress while enjoying the process.
What ages does Musicologie teach?
We teach all ages. Many of our students are between the ages of 5 and 12, but we teach toddlers and we teach many adults, too! Our toddler music class is called Musicologie Junior and starts at 6 months. Private lessons start at 5. We also have a rock band class called Rockstars where students ages 7+ learn to be rock stars and play at local venues!
We also have member workshops, open mics, and concerts for all our students, including adults! At Musicologie Noblesville, not only can you learn an instrument from an amazing, friendly, certified teacher, but you can meet other musicians and join a community of music explorers!
How do I sign up for lessons?
Get started here by answering a few questions. We'll match you with a teacher and find a time that works for ongoing lessons. The first lesson is called an assessment lesson.
What's a lesson membership?
A lesson membership is how you sign up for your weekly lesson or class at Musicologie. Your membership fee is billed monthly. The price depends on which lessons or classes you're enrolled in.
Can I do lessons every other week?
Sure, we offer drop-in lessons for students who can't commit to a weekly lesson.
What if I start in the middle of the month?
You will be charged a prorated amount for the remaining days in the month and then you’ll go into our automated system and be billed on the 1st of each month for the upcoming month.
How do I withdraw from lessons?
To withdraw from lessons, you must give 30 days advance notice by filling out our online exit form. This is the only way to withdraw. Contact us for the exit form.
What curriculum does Musicologie use?
We know that you'll stay more engaged by learning music you love and you'll grow faster by using what you've learned in your lessons in performances. We'll take our own Musicologie Method, along with traditional method books like Suzuki, Alfred's, Faber, etc., and combine that with contemporary music you're excited about with the goal of performing in one of our ensembles, group classes, or at one of our concerts.
Do I need my own instrument?
Not for your first lesson. We have instruments at our studios you can use for the first few lessons. But after that you'll want to get your own instrument for practice at home. Your teacher will help you pick out the right one. We also have open practice hours so you can come in and use instruments and practice rooms at Musicologie during the week.
If you do have your own instrument, you should definitely bring it with you, as long as it's easily portable - leave your piano and drums at home
What's an Assessment lesson?
An assessment lesson is what we call your first lesson. Don't worry, it's not a test! You'll come in, meet your teacher, talk about your goals, go through our policies and develop an individual curriculum. Every student does it regardless of age or ability. For very young students, an assessment is also a chance to see if they're ready for private lessons.

Can I reschedule a lesson if I can't come?
Of course! Here's how it works:
Log into your account at Musicologie.com
Find the lesson you want to change and select 'cancel' or 'reschedule' at least 24 hours before the lesson. Musicologie Junior and Accelerated Labs can be canceled or rescheduled up to 30 minutes before the class.
The canceled lesson will remain in your account to reschedule at any point in the future.
If you withdraw from lessons, you can no longer reschedule any lessons you cancelled.
If you re-enroll, any previously cancelled lessons will still be available in your account.
How do I pay for lessons?
When you sign up for lessons, your credit card or debit card will be automatically debited a flat fee each month on the 1st of the month. To withdraw, you need to provide us with 30-days notice by filling out a withdrawal form. Contact your teacher for the form.
Does Musicologie offer refunds?
Musicologie cannot offer refunds for any missed or unused lessons.

Anthony Erazmus started piano lessons at the age of 5, sang in the school choir, played percussion in the concert band, drum set and vibes in the jazz band, multiple rock groups, marching band and indoor percussion, pep bands and percussion ensembles.
Anthony has a bachelor degree in percussion performance from Southern Illinois University and a Master degree in percussion performance form Eastern Illinois University. He has been playing percussion for the last 32 years and has been a music teacher for the last 23 years.
