Our Teachers

Jeremy Singer has been performing music since 1990. At age 8, he began studying piano and at 12 discovered the guitar. He studied classical guitar and music theory at Cincinnati's School for Creative and Performing Arts and joined an original rock band at 16. After two years at the University of Cincinnati's College Conservatory of Music, Jeremy studied and taught recording arts. In 2006, he began teaching music and has since been inspiring students of all ages to play their favorite styles by teaching the fundamentals using popular songs.

Heather Bulgart teaches piano, saxophone, and Junior at Musicologie Anderson. She previously taught for 3 years at Musicologie Dublin and Westerville, and is so excited to be back! She has a Bachelor of Music Education and is Kodaly Level I certified. Heather also has 3 years of experience teaching elementary music in a public school. Heather’s teaching philosophy centers around the idea that learning music should be fun! Her lessons focus on music theory and technique, but students will learn through exploration and games in addition to the traditional method books. Heather has worked with students of all ages and abilities, and she can't wait to meet you!

Matthew/Maciej Latawiec received a doctoral degree in Violin Performance at the College-Conservatory of Music at the University of Cincinnati in 2023. Maciej’s Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees are from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Maciej actively performs in orchestras in the region. Maciej performed in the U.S., as well as internationally in Poland, South Korea, and the Vatican.

Calvin Horner is a graduate of Northern Kentucky University with a BA degree in voice and a focus in education. He has experience studying and performing various vocal styles from opera to choral to jazz. He also has studied jazz piano with local pianist Dan Karslberg and has used that experience to further his knowledge of improvisation and harmony. Calvin has been teaching voice and piano since graduating in 2017 and has taught students of all ages, abilities, and interests.

Tom Buckley is one of the most in-demand drummers and drum instructors in the Cincinnati area. He has a wide-ranging skill set that allows him to play jazz, funk, rock, pop, classical, and many other styles. He can be heard with his band FLOCKS, The Cincy Brass, The Ben Tweedt Trio, and many others. He has made contributions to several acclaimed recordings including FLOCKS' latest album 'You Were Probably Younger Then,' Dan Karlsberg's 'Tales From the Winter Solstice,' and Brad Myers/Mike Sharfe's 'Sanguinaria.' ​He has been teaching private lessons regularly since 2010 and has experience teaching students of all ages. He attended the College-Conservatory of Music at the University of Cincinnati where he received a BM in Jazz Studies.

Erin is so excited to make her Musicologie debut! Erin is a multifaceted performer, music director, singer/songwriter, & educator who believes strongly in the healing, transformative power of the arts. She has been teaching private voice, piano, Italian, and ASL lessons since 2008. Erin loves watching a student light up when they get a new concept. Erin is the co-creator & performer of She’s Crazy: Mental Health & Other Myths, which has toured for seven years. She also has three albums of original music out, one released this year called The Other Side of This.

Kaleb is a dynamic, passionate saxophonist carving his path in modern jazz within the heart of Cincinnati. He recently graduated from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music, and has been performing alongside local groups such as Zoe and the Porktown Hustlers and Andrew Moore & Hooch. Kaleb has also been teaching saxophone and piano for two years, and seeks to find novel, creative ways to connect with passionate musicians and students alike.

Josh Krovetz is a Trumpet player and teacher from Raleigh, North Carolina. As a performer, Josh has been an active chamber musician and solist, attending as a quarter and semi-Finalist in both the International Trumpet Guild and the National Trumpet Competitions in multiple years. As a teacher, Josh has maintained a studio of successful beginners to high school level musicians. Josh is also a Graduate Assistant at the University of Cincinnati and teaches Trumpet, Horn, Trombone, and Euphonium to aspiring band teachers. He holds a Master's in Trumpet Performance from the University of Delaware, and a Bachelor’s in Trumpet Performance from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.

Recently relocated to Cincinnati, Ohio, Danielle Wright (They/Xe), a visionary in the opera world, founded Opera MODO, a pioneering organization based in Detroit for the past 10 years, recognizing the need for a platform that nurtured emerging artists outside of institutional structures. An accomplished singer, Danielle has graced stages across the United States, London, and Berlin, exemplifying their commitment to maintaining an active stage career. Although Opera MODO is no longer operational due to safety concerns for trans individuals in the opera medium, Danielle now channels their expertise and passion into their drag king persona, Juicci Björling.

Diamond Sparks, a mezzo-soprano from Birmingham, Alabama, has notable experience as a chorus member with Cincinnati Opera and Mobile Opera. She performed in roles such as Presendia in Nico Muhly’s "Dark Sisters" and Bianca in Benjamin Britten’s "The Rape of Lucretia" at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music (CCM). During her undergraduate studies at the University of South Alabama, she portrayed Prince Charmant in "Cendrillon." Diamond has also taught privately, guiding students in discovering their musical talents. She holds a Bachelor of Music in Voice Performance from USA and a Master of Music in Voice Performance from CCM, studying under Dr. Thomas Rowell and Dr. Gwendolyn Coleman.

Having taught a wide variety of students of all ages over the last decade, Abigail is very excited to begin her work at Musicologie! Abby currently is a Ph.D. candidate in musicology at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music (UC CCM). Her research focuses on the intersection of choral singing and trauma, detailed in her forthcoming dissertation. Prior to pursuing her doctorate, Abby graduated with her Masters of Music degree in musicology with a focus in social justice from UC CCM in 2023, and graduated Summa Cum Laude from SUNY Potsdam Crane School of Music with her Bachelor or Music degree in Music Education with a focus in voice and special education in 2021.

Jack O'Leary recently graduated from the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, NY studying Classical Vocal Performance and is currently attending the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music for a Master of Music in Classical Vocal Performance. Having performed and studied voice and vocal pedagogy in classical music and musical theatre, Jack teaches students to have a strong foundation of technique for all styles of voice using anatomical, physiological, and metaphorical approaches.

Ozgur Cetindere is a seasoned guitarist and music educator with over a decade of experience in teaching and performing. He holds dual master’s degrees in Music Education and Guitar Performance from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music. Specializing in classical, pop, and rock styles, Ozgur has performed with various bands on electric, acoustic, and bass guitar. He has participated in international guitar events and studied with renowned musicians like Denis Azabagić, René Izquierdo, and Scott Tennant. Ozgur is dedicated to customizing lessons to fit each student’s goals and learning style, fostering a supportive and relaxed environment that encourages growth, confidence, and a lifelong appreciation for music.
